CPA Establishes First TFL Panel Standard
The Composite Panel Association (CPA) has published the first Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) Panel Standard for North America, giving manufacturers, specifiers and customers a common technical benchmark for TFL panel quality and performance.
Developed with input from 22 stakeholder companies, the voluntary CPA 5-25 standard applies to TFL panels made with particleboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or hardwood plywood for interior applications. It establishes minimum requirements and test methods for scratch resistance, stain resistance, wear resistance, lightfastness, surface defects, flatness, thickness tolerance and warp.
Timber Products TFL meets the requirements of CPA 5-25, giving customers added confidence in the consistency, durability and performance of the panels they specify.
As a member of both the Composite Panel Association and the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, Timber Products supports the industry’s move toward clearer, more consistent performance expectations.
